New Robert Pattinson Film, Director Says He’s “Fantastic”
Robert Pattinson New Film “Cosmopolis,” Director Says He Is “Fantastic.” Most fans of Pattinson are still excited about the “Twilight” Saga film “Breaking Dawn: Part 1,” but the director of “Cosmopolis,” David Cronenberg, is making hype about how great of an actor Pattinson is. Especially during the filming of his latest flick “Cosmopolis.”
Cronenberg explains, “Ultimately, I felt he was the guy. Once again, intuition. I saw his movies, including ones maybe his Twi-Hard fans don’t know about, like ‘Little Ashes.’ Maybe they saw ‘Remember Me,’ I’m not sure.” Continuing to state, “Really, he’s fantastic. He’s sensational. Really, I’m telling you. He’s a great actor. It’s obvious in the movie. It’s not like maybe yes, maybe no. It’s obvious.”
Pattinson has never played a character like the one in this film and it seemed to be a bit of a challenge. Challenging roles are good for any young actor or actress. Cronenberg reveals, “I can’t pretend that I’m not aware of that. This is an unusual jump for him. He said it himself. It’s scary. It’s a scary thing because he’s never really had to carry a movie quite that way before, totally on his own. He’s in every scene. He’s almost in every shot, so scary for him, but for an actor, scary is good. You don’t want to be bored. You don’t want to be too confident.”
Pattinson plays a character named Eric Packer who is 28 years old and is a multi-billionaire asset manager. His day starts off in a stretched limo to where he travels through midtown Manhattan to get a haircut. Along the way things happen such as traffic jams, funeral, a violent riot, and he sees his wife naked on the street (as she plays an extra for a film) he gets naked and makes love to her in front of everyone. He also sees his wife throughout the day in a taxi and bookstore. Packer is also stalked by two men, one is a comical “pastry assassin” and the other is an unstable “credible threat.” Throughout the day he begins to loss a significant amount of money for his clients.
Giuliana Rancic Breast Cancer Survivor
Yesterday, Giuliana Rancic revealed her medical issue on the Today Show. Rancic had breast cancer, and today she is letting everyone know that Giuliana Rancic Survived her Breast Cancer. Rancic expressed that she is grateful to have found out early that she had breast cancer. At least that way she began the treatments to become a breast cancer survivor.
Rancic expressed to her E! co-host Ryan Seacrest, that at first she didn’t want to tell anyone about her medical issue nor express it publicly. She tells Seacrest, “There was a long period of time where I thought I was going to hide this from everyone, that I didn’t need to tell anyone. And then as time went by, I would see friends of mine that didn’t know, and I would think, ‘God, I wish I could let her know what I’m going through,’ so that she goes and gets checked.”
Now she feels relieved that she decided to open up and share to the world about the struggle that she went through. Rancic stated, “I feel like such a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders.” It is wonderful that she had the courage to tell the world what is going on in her person life. Rancic is also encouraging more women no matter how young they might be to simply go get a mammogram to make sure they are healthy and are not at risk.
It is very important for women to have this procedure done. If the breast cancer is found early on the woman has a huge chance of beating this deadly disease. Rancic expressed, “I’m not broken, but that’s because I found it early. Truly, Ryan, the bottom line is, the earlier you find it, the better chance you have of survival.”
Ashton Kutcher’s Mistress Tells Her Story
Us Weekly did an exclusive interview with Sara Leal the 22 year old woman who allegedly had an affair with actor Ashton Kutcher on the morning of his 6th wedding anniversary to actress Demi Moore. Sara apparently had a few things she needed to get off her chest and held little to nothing back. It was reported just last week that Sara was talking to media outlets trying to find the highest bidder really wanting $250,000 for her story. I can’t help but wonder how much did Us Weekly pay her.
Sara who lives in San Diego and works as an administrative assistant had no shame telling her side of the story. She told Us Weekly that Ashton’s first bold move was when he just walked up and kissed her. Shortly after the kiss, her another female accompanied Ashton in a hottub wearing nothing but their birthday suits; in other words they were NAKED. Sara claims that around 6 am, she went back to his room with him and had sex twice and get this with NO condom! She claims that they talked about things such as astrology and politics and that when she asked him if he was married he told her that he was separated.
So lets be real now, if this is the truth what does it show us about who this Sara Leal really is. How do you think it’s ok or cool to go and sleep with someone you haven’t even known for 24 hours, who’s married regardless to what he says, and not even use protection? Sorry to say but all she did was make herself sound like a jump off. By no means do I think what Ashton did was ok! Cheating in my books is NEVER excusable no matter the situation. But this Sara chick only made herself look like a fool trying to grab hold of her two minutes of fame.
“Melancholia” Movie Review
“Melancholia,” a film by the infamously known director, Lars von Trier, is an apocalyptic tale that centers around two sisters. Kirtsen Dunst, Charlotte Giansbourg, Keifer Sutherland and Alexander Sharsgard star in this movie that can well be considered a beautiful and melancholy work of art.
“Melancholia” lost a lot of promoting after Lars von Trier said some anti Semitic comments in the Sundance Film Festival. In fact, he was thrown out of the film festival. However, Lars von Trier can say what ever he pleases, really. I’m interested in his films and you should be, too. He’s well known to be be very tyrannical during production and over all.
However,”Melancholia” is a brilliantly acted out film, very melodramatic and visually a piece of exquisite art. Many that have already seen it find the movie to be boring and too, slow, some don’t even like the camera work for it sort of has this POV kind of look, which of course was done on purpose. In forums I read that people were getting dizzy and a bunch of other negative reviews.
The first approximate 10 minutes of the film are artistic shots in which you can’t tell if they’re camera tricks and different lenses or animation or, perhaps, a combination of both. Either way its absolutely mind blowing.
Kirsten Dunst was perfectly depressed in the film, she’s the very sad sister who’s marrying Alexander Sharsgard. For once, I could forget that Alexander Sharsgard is “Eric” from True Blood, he was stunning, convincing and very non Eric. Charlotte Giansbourg was her usual, unusual self with her very unique acting skills. Keither Sutherland is always a breath of fresh air and other supporting actors were equally great.
In forums, people also, were saying that they didn’t understand what “Melancholia” was all about, though, really, it’s no mystery and it’s explained in depth throughout the movie. A planet: “Melancholia” is about to fly by Earth which could be very dangerous. In the movie it is described as a “Dance of Death.”
The passing by of a planet can cause mood changes and all kinds of changes which easily explains Kirsten Dunst irrevocable depression and it also, explains why Charlotte Giansbourg (the sister) is so obsessed and scared about “Melancholia‘s” passing by.
At this point I’ll stop because I don’t want to give out any spoilers for those of you who plan to watch the movie, despite Lars von Trier uncalled for comments, opinions and personality. I think it’s of little importance what he says and does, it’s his right to speak his mind even if he ended up putting his foot in his mouth.
“Melancholia” is spectacular for lack of better words. However, don’t expect an action packed film, expect a well acted drama, with some funny but dark moments and incredible visuals.
“Melancholia” is now playing ON Demand and will hit theaters on November 11. Don’t miss out on this masterpiece!

Gisele Bundchen’s Controversial Underwear AD is promoting sexisms and demeaning women as well. Bundchen has had an remarkable success in her career, but she has certainly caused many women to dislike her greatly for her new Latin American TV commercial ad. This Brazilian model appears on the TV ad wearing her bra and underwear and tries to talk her way out for crashing her husband’s car, maxing out his credit cards, and even inviting her mother to stay with them.
In the TV commercial, Bundchen uses her slim figure and sexy smile to grab viewers attention and then she tells the women, “You’re a Brazilian woman use your charm.” For this statement she has made officials angry and they are not condemning the campaign to be sexist.
One of the government spokesperson said to press, “The campaign promotes the misguided stereotype of a woman as a sexual object of her husband and ignores the major advances we have achieved in deconstructing sexist practices and thinking.”
Continues to state, “The model, Gisele Bundchen, encourages Brazilian women to use their ‘charm’ to lessen possible reactions from their partners. Even worse, the ad even infringes upon two articles of the Brazilian constitution with ‘discriminatory content against women.’”
I as a person understand that she is doing her job, but as a woman I cannot overlook the message she is sending out to women in South America. How could she be okay with doing a campaign ad that CLEARLY degrades women and shows that you have to be slutty to get your way with your husband or boyfriend. This is not the type of message that should be given to neither young girls nor women.
This campaign needs to be banned in South America and any other part of the world where it might be broadcasted. Bundchen is completely disgusting for accepting a job like this and what is worst that she is a mother to a little boy. I am sure she wouldn’t want her son growing up to only view women as sex symbols. She should be absolutely ashamed!

Christina Ricci Talks About Kissing Scenes With Robert Pattinson and much more with Manhattan magazine 3rd anniversary issue, which is their September/October 2011 issue. The sexy 31 year old actress looked fabulous in the photo shoot spread and she dished some details about her smooching scenes with Twilight star, Robert Pattinson.
Ricci begins her interview speaking about how it was to work with Robert Pattinson during the film “Bel Ami.” She stated, “He’s great; he’s really an awesome guy. I had a lot of fun working with him. He’s so professional. He comes to set with no expectations or attitude. None of those things you worry someone of his level of fame is going to have.”
Ricci is one of those child actors that did not fade away as she had gotten older. In fact, she became a very talented adult actress and has made five films in the last two years. Last year films were “Alpha and Omega,” “Born to Be a Star,” and “The Hero of Color City.” This year she has the film with Pattinson and another titled “War Flowers.” When asked if she enjoyed her roles as a child, her response, “I loved playing the roles that I did as a child. I’ve always been quite happy with the identity they’ve given me as long as people don’t take that too literally. I think they gave me a great depth of position as an actress from which to start my adult career.”
Ricci’s new show “Pan Am” and the AMC hit “Mad Men” has some similarities as they focus on one gender. Ricci’s thoughts on the comparison between the two shows, “It’s a great comparison to get; Mad Men is a great show and I’m a huge fan. But that does focus more on a man’s experience of that time period and this is much more about these women. These were really women who were taking control of their lives and living in a very feminist kind of way. They weren’t the average women.”

Sarah Jessica Parker Reveals She Talks To Herself To Release Stress to People magazine. Parker was seen taking a much needed small break walking around the city of New York this past week. The mother of three looked cute in a cropped pink jackets, a pair of skinny jeans, and a blue handbag. You can clearly tell she looked a bit tired and her hair was a bit wild. Well, what do you expect a working mother of three to look like?
Parker had been extremely busy the last couple of weeks promoting her new film “I Don’t Know How She Does It,” to which she can personally relate to the film herself. While conducting an interview with People magazine Parker stated, “I talk to myself. Constantly. Both my babysitter and I talk to ourselves, and we’re constantly apologizing for it.”
Parker is use to a hectic life and believes that women genetically know how to deal with the never ending duties; she continues to explain, “Frankly, I think women are accustomed to doing a lot. We can talk on the phone and tie a shoe and pack a lunch and change a diaper.”
Parker knows that sometimes her life can be rather demanding and stressful, but she is also aware that she doesn’t have it that bad. She knows that there are tons of other women who have a more stressful and hectic life between working and taking care of their family. Parker continues, “There are millions and millions of women in this country that do it far better than I do with far less resources and far less support.”
Parker’s film “I Don’t Know How She Does It” is currently in theaters since September 16th which offers a comedy insight to the life as a mom and bread maker of the family. The movie shows everything she has to deal with on a day to day basis. The film also stars Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Munn, Kelsey Grammer, Seth Meyers, and Jessica Szohr.
